What is a CSA?

A CSA, commonly known as a Farm Share, stands for Community Supported Agriculture. The CSA model was created to increase the quality of life of both the farmer and the consumer. By accessing your food source directly from the farmer, you are allowing us to turn farming back into a career with living wages so that we can support ourselves and our community for now and the future.

How does it work?

Members purchase their shares on a rolling basis before the start of the season. This gives us the operational income to pay for all the supplies we need to grow our crops. In return we are able to provide you with produce that is fresher, better for you, and more affordable.
Share quantity is based on baskets provided at each pickup. We have flexible share types for different family sizes. Members should bring their own reusable bags to take their produce home. We will always have paper bags in case members forget their own.

Other Perks

  • Pick-your-own crops

  • Community potlucks and events

  • Educational workshops

  • No! Our CSA is designed to be the most convenient and affordable option for families that:

eat a lot of produce (this is also accommodate by our different share size options)

are able to pick up each week during the main season and/or every other week in the summer/winter

are able to plan ahead and budget paying up front. The larger the share and the longer the season, the more of a discount we give on our produce overall. The upfront share payment allows us to purchase operational costs such as seeds and fertilizer to get the season going!

Our farmstand is open to the public! Come visit us anytime during our open hours to purchase individual items.

  • We grow Organically certified produce for our CSA members. Our goal is to produce enough diversity that we can feed our families with a variety of vegetables throughout the season. From triple washed baby greens, hearty cooking greens, your staples of heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers and summer squash, to some unique delicacies such as fennel and radicchio, we grow as much as we can in this region. We have greenhouses and use season extension practices to grow year round, with fresh greens all winter. We do not heat our structures and believe that we should all do our part to save energy with the bulk of our diet being what we can grow seasonally in our own regions. We store roots all winter, and contract Atlas Farm in Deerfield, MA to grow our potatoes. Everything else is grown here on our farm!
