Small Scale - No Till - Organic Produce
Grown In Your Neighborhood!

Meet your farmers!

Jonathan and Abby have both been farming for over a decade. From humble beginnings as volunteers and WWOOFers, they moved on to manage Organic farms in New England before purchasing land in Claremont, NH in 2019. What began as a small, community oriented CSA has evolved into a no-till, Organically Certified vegetable production farm that feeds 150 families through a year-round CSA, along with a seasonal public farmstand, on-site community composting.

Our Mission

At Winter Street Farm, we take a larger ecological and community approach to vegetable production. No two vegetables are the same, and what we eat matters, for ourselves and for our future. Our produce is nutrient dense, freshly harvested from healthy plants grown in soil rich in organic matter. We use farming innovations such as no till practices, green energy production, and ecological systems - we believe our small farm and community can make a big difference.

Our Community

We look forward to continuing to grow and interact with our local community. We are excited to work with schools to provide educational content. We work closely with the Claremont Soup Kitchen to bring access to healthy fresh produce to our community, and take part in programs such as the NOFA-NH Farm Share program to provide a limited amount of subsidized share options. Although we provide the highest quality produce, our focus is to grow as much food, as efficiently as possible, to continue to be accessible to a wider range of our community.

  • No! Our CSA is designed to be the most convenient and affordable option for families that:

eat a lot of produce (this is also accommodate by our different share size options)

are able to pick up each week during the main season and/or every other week in the summer/winter

are able to plan ahead and budget paying up front. The larger the share and the longer the season, the more of a discount we give on our produce overall. The upfront share payment allows us to purchase operational costs such as seeds and fertilizer to get the season going!

  • We grow Organically certified produce for our CSA members. Our goal is to produce enough diversity that we can feed our families with a variety of vegetables throughout the season. From triple washed baby greens, hearty cooking greens, your staples of heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers and summer squash, to some unique delicacies such as fennel and radicchio, we grow as much as we can in this region. We have greenhouses and use season extension practices to grow year round, with fresh greens all winter. We do not heat our structures and believe that we should all do our part to save energy with the bulk of our diet being what we can grow seasonally in our own regions. We store roots all winter, and contract Atlas Farm in Deerfield, MA to grow our potatoes. Everything else is grown here on our farm!
